If you are a parent or carer of a neurodivergent child (0 - 17years) and you are looking for support, advice or other families who get it, this is worth knowing about.
The Salford Neurodiversity Network is hosting a free drop-in session where you can speak directly with Salford services - SIASS, SEN, CAMHS, Speech & Language Therapy, Early Help, Local Offer and more. You also get the chance to:

Safer streets are coming to Salford
Chapel Street and Trinity Way junction - one of the busiest and most difficult to navigate on foot or by bike is finally getting a proper upgrade. Plans have been approved and a construction contract is now in place.
The scheme comes in two phases:
The first tackles the junction itself (new and improved pedestrian crossings and changes to make the whole street safer for everyone using it).
The second phase focuses on the surrounding streets in Trinity and new crossing points to make cycling and walking through the area a much more pleasant experience.
This is a junction that has long acted as a barrier between communities, so this is a positive step forward for the city. One to definitely watch as it progresses.
Restaurant of the Week - Pier Eight
If you're looking for a place that consistently impresses without the fuss, Pier Eight is a standout. Located inside The Lowry on Salford Quays, it's a restaurant that combines great food, warm service and a beautiful waterfront setting with ease.
The menu is well put together, moving from light and fresh starters to proper, satisfying mains.

It is the kind of place that works just as well for a relaxed midweek dinner as it does for a special occasion. If you have not been yet, it is well worth putting on your list.

No Worries Coffee Shop is coming to Swinton
Swinton is about to get a lot more interesting this weekend as No Worries Coffee is opening its doors on Saturday. If the people behind it are anything to go by, it is going to be a proper addition to the neighbourhood.
At No Worries, expect specialty coffee done properly alongside those delicious Cinna Boy buns in full effect. Whether you are after a quiet corner to work from, a catch-up with a friend or just a great coffee and something sweet to go with it No Worries ticks all the boxes.
Pop in on opening day and show them some love.
